Home construction is reviewed by an Architectural Review Committee, utilizing established Architectural Design Guidelines. This procedure ensures design and landscaping consistency within the Wynstone community, yet allows for a broad range of individual tastes. Streetscape features throughout the community, such as mailboxes, signage and decorative fencing are also designed in harmony with the overall Wynstone theme.

Wynstone offers all of the advantages of a limited access community, facilitated by a manned gatehouse entry, secured perimeter and around-the-clock patrols.

Wynstone is a self-service community. The private roads, water and sewer treatment plant and common areas are maintained by the Wynstone Property Owners’ Association.

  • Estate Homes and Homesites
    • Estate Homesites. A limited selection of estate homesites are available in sizes from ½ to 3 ½ acres, with an average lot size of one acre. For new home construction, a buyer may select a builder of their choice. Plans are reviewed and approved by the Architectural Review Committee and forwarded to the Village of North Barrington.
       
      Estate Homes. These homes are available for resale offering up to 10,000 square feet of living space, both on and off the golf course. These luxury custom designed homes provide many interior and exterior amenities, such as rich architectural detailing, innovative landscaping and unique millwork.
       
      The Pointe. Scenically situated on a peninsula surrounded by Dog Bone Lake with spectacular golf and wetland vistas. These homes range from 4,100 to 7,500 square feet and were designed to be reminiscent of a French Country Village on a cobblestone street with its own gatehouse.
       
  • Village and Country Homes
    • Luxurious, Low-Maintenance Living

      Designed for busy families with active lifestyles, The Village Homes and Country Homes provide all the comforts of luxurious, maintenance-free living. The homes are designed by award-winning builders, architects and developers.

      The Village and Country Homes are clustered in private neighborhoods, beautifully nestled within the larger Wynstone community. Each “village” offers one and two story single family homes in harmonious designs. Steeply-pitched roofs, traditional mullioned windows and natural exteriors of stone, stucco, brick and cedar echo this Old World Theme.

      Inside, however, The Village and Country Homes provide all the comfort and convenience desired by today’s active families. Home sizes range from 2,900 to 4,100 square feet. Each neighborhood is governed by a Sub-Association that offers a variety of maintenance amenities.
       
      The Grove.
      This heavily oaked village setting is just a short walk from the Clubhouse; some homes are adjacent to the golf course.
       
      The Falls.
      Situated at Wynstone’s north end, this serene Village features a lovely lake, rolling meadows and ponds, connected by a bubbling waterfall.
       
      The Enclave.
      This single lane with its similar streetscape overlooks the Golf Course practice range. Homes range from 2,900 to 4,000 square feet on smaller lots.
